Prices
Price of the camp: EUR 279
The price includes the costs of:
- accommodation
- ski pass
- tourist tax
- linen
- programs
The travelling
Recommended departure time for those who travel by car: 03.02.2012. (Friday) 10 p.m.
Time of journey by car is 12-14 hours.
International insurance for the car is necessary. The costs are approximately EUR 350 for a car with the prices of fuel and toll.
Suggested route: Ljubjana – Trieste – Venice – Milan – Torino – Oulx – Monginevro – Briançon – Vars
Accomodation
Those who joined Freeride in the previous years will be familiar with the apartments because we booked the same ones. The apartments are fully equipped with linen and all the kitchen equipments such as plates, cutlery, glasses, pots, fridgeder, dish washer and microwave in some cases.
10-bed apartment (80 m2)
These 3-floor apartments can be booked for 8-10 person.
Price of the empty bed: EUR 130
Arrangement:
First floor: kitchen + toilet + living room (pull-out bed)
Second floor: bedroom with double bed + bedroom with two single beds + bathroom + toilet
Third floor: bedroom with double bed connected to a room with pull-out bed + bathroom + toilet
Distance from the ski lifts: 150-200 meters
4 and 6-bed apartments
In the 4-bed apartment the kitchen is in the same area with the livingroom with pull-out bed. A bedroom with double bed is also the part of the apartment. In the 6-bed one there is an extra bedroom with two single beds. Basically we didn’t book apartments with bunk beds but in case of post-booking there might be bunk-bed rooms in the 6-bed apartments.
The price of the empty bed is also EUR 130. To spend the week as comfortable as possible it’s worth to pay the empty beds instead of spending the leisure time with strangers. But in case of a small number of guests please note your needs in your requests so we will try to make it comfortable for everyone.
The apartments can be found in a 5-6 floor building in a 200 meter distance from the 10-bed apartments. There are 6-8 apartments on each floor so this is ideal for bigger groups. This buildig is closer to the ski lifts than the other.
The slopes
VARS is the biggest ski center in the Hautes-Alpes region with the longest snow board slope in France with 2 kilometers lenght and 500 meters distance of levels. Vars offers speed slopes and chance for freeride as well.
Number of slopes:
Black 10, Red 37, Blue 40, Green 17
Ski lifts: 1 cable-car, 14 chair-lifts and 39 drag-lifts
Ski-running slopes: 45 kms
After skiing: skating-rink, paragliding, cinema, disco, bar, biliard
Others: Snowpark: slope style lines, two slide parks, half-pipe (100 m lenght, 25 m deep, 3 m height), boarder-cross.
Application and payment
Price: EUR 279
Deadline of paying the first part: 20.11.2011.: EUR 100
After 01.12.2011. the whole amount has to be paid.
The deadline of paying the second part: 15.01.2012.
Apart from the above mentioned part EUR 300 caution has to be paid after each apartment. This year the caution must be paid on the spot. We can only give the apartment keys after getting this amount.
For the ski pass a passport photo is needed (2 cm x 2 cm).
Insurance for the whole week is highly recommended. It needs to be valid for skiing and snow boarding.
The programs
This year we also offer a wide range of programs again such as chill-out, sport and party. The basic programs of the camp is the Freeride Championship and the Snowboard Academy.
Billabong Naturelle Freeride:
The competitors are scored by two Hungarian and two French IFSA judges along four different categories:
- Choice of line
- Continuity
- Techniques
- Controll
The competitors choose the line between the start and the end on their own. But if someone leaves the marked hillside they will be disqualificated immadiately. Everyone can show his/her own style through the jumps and fast turns.
Those competitors who chose the hardest part can get the highest score in the choice of line category.
In case of continuity the contestant has to go through the line with the less possible stops.
Techniques is one of the most important category where the point is the style and technical presentation of the competitor.
In the controll category contestants have to prove that they can control their movement and sport tools. This category will be scored in the strictest way.
The championship has two rounds on two different places. The 20 best Hungarian riders will take part in the finals.
Registration on the spot only with valid insurance.
Naturelle Style Line
In this slope style competition the jumps will dominate not the slides. International judges has to be impressed by a series of Big Air jumps.
Naturelle Slide Jam:
We organise a slide competition with a jam session style in the slidepark in the night where the first three can win back the price of accommodation apart from the many valuable prizes.
Snowboard Academy:
During the whole week everyone can improve their knowledge from the beginners to the pros.
Further programs:
Those who are familiar with the programs of Naturelle know that the camp fire on the opening and closing parties gives a unique atmosphere.
After the last year’s success of the squash championship we have organised it this year as well so bringing the rackets is a must.
Our environment relay race completed with the power of quiz brings together the teams playing for knowledge, experience and pálinka.
Everyone can join and try themselves on our fantastic La Grave trip. Those who had never been there… It’s time to join J
If we could we would make the Ortovox avalanche training compulsory. It is a great chance for testing yourself and learn increasing the chance of survival and the process of practice in a simulated situation from well-trained specialist.
Thanks to the Burton and Armada the best board garniture is available for this year as well which can be tested by everyone during the camp.
